Cashmere ponchos

These gorgeous cashmere ponchos are the highest quality, all hand loomed in Pokhara, Nepal for Freedom Road. They can be worn two ways: A-symetrical across the shoulder like a boat neck, or with a V front. They are fabulously light weight to roll and pack or wear on the plane for extra warmth.

There is a beautiful story behind these ponchos too. Cashmere goats are brushed for their wool, not shorn, then it is spun into spools of yarn and hand loomed by hearing or sight-impaired young people in Pohkara at Helping Hands, an organisation established just to provide young adults with disabilities with work. I have established an ongoing relationship to sell their beautiful products in New Zealand.
